Grey water recycling

Smart Water Reuse for Sustainable Living

The villa’s graywater recycling approach collects wastewater from suitable sources such as showers, wash basins and bathtubs, then treats it through a dedicated filtration and purification process. The recovered water can be reused for landscape irrigation, toilet flushing and other approved non-potable applications, helping reduce the villa’s dependence on fresh water.

How the System Works

Collection → Screening → Filtration → Biological Treatment → Disinfection → Storage → Reuse

Graywater is first collected separately from blackwater and passed through multiple treatment stages. Suspended particles and impurities are removed through filtration, followed by biological treatment and disinfection to improve water quality. The treated water is then stored for suitable non-potable applications.

Designed for Dubai’s Water-Conscious Environment

With Dubai's hot and arid climate and significant landscape irrigation requirements, water reuse can play an important role in creating more resource-efficient residences. At Ishtika Dubai, the system integrates sustainability into the villa's infrastructure while supporting responsible water management.
